Choosing materials is an important thing.

Because understanding the source, characteristics, use, production, sustainability, price, and derivative development of the original material, and how to grasp the properties and value of the material more quickly and completely is very important.

 

Designing materials is also an important thing.

The perspective of materials, designing from one product to series, designing boutique to necessities, developing from product details' analysis to Visual Merchandising, and developing the advantage of materials is important.

 

Creating materials is even more important.

Understand the characteristics of original materials, improve the advantages and disadvantages, eliminate the limitations of modeling materials, or use imagination and knowledge to create an alternative, sustainable. Promising future materials and smart materials are important development trends.

 

Everything has a different perspective. This book focuses on the material. It mentions the characteristics of various applied materials, so you can understand why designers use this material as an element to construct this product. I read this book when I was a graduate student. Initially, I disagreed with this book's ideas because I can list many materials with similar characteristics but better performance as alternative materials. After becoming an engineer, I gradually understand why these materials were selected to develop the product. Therefore, I start to try to think about how to optimize these materials...

 

Through the Department of Geospatial Information Science, Materials Science and Engineering Research, Product Design and Brand Planning, I can understand: "If my partners and I want to create a product together, what do we need to think about" I can also understand: “When we want to provide a series of services, What skills I need to accumulate integration abilities.” Complete thinking can enable the entire product development cycle, marketing advertising on trial production, performance update after mass production, after-sales service, and brand management more meticulous.
